Technical principle
After the exogenous DNA fragment encoding the polypeptide is fused with the gene encoding the phage surface protein, it is displayed on the surface of the phage in the form of a fusion protein. The displayed polypeptide or protein can maintain relative spatial structure and biological activity and be displayed on the surface of the phage. A group of phages introduced with various foreign genes constitutes a phage display library displaying various foreign peptides. When a protein is used to screen a phage display library, it will be selectively combined with a foreign peptide that interacts with it to isolate a specific phage in the display library and study the phage contained the biological function of foreign genes.
